Spring Heritage Stroll #4, Saturday April 21: The art of making…

Starting from the discovery of an abandoned artistic and educational garden, between the wasteland, the cities and the paths of the schoolchildren, this stroll will go up to the edge of Marseille and the massif of L'Etoile, on the side of Notre Dame limit.
Between ancient terroir and large ensembles, it will allow us to meet several initiatives that invite the art of doing and the imagination to take place in our daily lives, in our relationship to our environment of proximity, to the world and to Other.
The stroll will end (for those who wish) by a small artistic workshop and for all in festive moment in the garden of others.

With associations all art, Bric to Brac, reception and meetings, arenas and association of the school Brake and Fabrettes.

During a course that will lead from the barracks of Muy to the wasteland of the Belle of May, passing through the convent of the rue Leva and the former manufacture of tobacco, we will evoke the social and political life of the quarter in the nineteenth and twentieth centuries. Together we will raise the problems that can be posed, in a highly paupérisé popular neighbourhood, with the completion of a major urban planning operation launched recently by the city of Marseille. Spring Heritage Stroll #1: Skips vallons + feast in the Garden, Sunday 1 April

Heritage stroll between city and nature, where you follow a section of the GR 2013. The Peyrards and the Mayans: these two valleys of Septèmes yet close to each other communicate only by passing by Marseille or by the hill, on foot!

So we will cross several times the border of the two cities as the smugglers who sought to avoid the grant. And in April, the hill explodes with flowers, a few steps from the city of La Savine… Here once, point of bastide but farms and houses populated by workers, whose names evoke the successive waves of immigration. In the time of the factories, there are indeed quarries, one that we will visit on arrival.

An original proposal accompanies this stroll: a country meal awaits the gourmets.
For €13 only, all the Provençal and Oriental flavors await us in the garden of Fati and Rachid, at the table of "B.E. L plate".

Registration here.

La Marseillaise: Marseille, from hospital to hospitality, the Hotel du Nord makes the step.

The newspaper La Marseillaise published on Monday 19 February an article by Myriam Guillaume on our commitment to the North Hospital and caregivers: Marseille: from hospital to hospitality, the Hotel du Nord makes the step.

Dedicated to the discovery of the heritage, the small cooperative of the Hotel du Nord opens its hospitable offer to the accompanying patients of the hospital Nord in Marseille. Residents of the Northern neighborhoods develop a link where the hotel offer is sick. Read more.

The cooperative platform The birds of passage stops in Marseille

Friday 1 December from 14:30 to 16:30, the CCO Social Centre Bernard Du Bois (16 Rue Bernard Dubois, Marseille 1st) will host a public presentation of our new co-operative platform the birds of passage

A European cooperative platform to be able to offer the reception, discovery of destinations, hospitality and cultural exchanges from human to human. A platform without advertising intrusion or commission, without scoring or privacy, without discrimination or frontiers and without speculator or tax optimization. On the contrary, a cooperative, poetic and diffuse platform, proposing direct human-to-human exchanges, access to qualified hospitality offerings on-line as well as freely shared cultural content and a narrative navigation As a cartography to find the pleasure of travelling. LODP-Narratives The birds of passage is an initiative of professionals and citizens launched at the end of 2014 following a northern hotel arrest to the actors of tourism, culture, popular education, social economy and solidarity on the need for such Europe-wide cooperative platform. The Northern Hotel experience, at the crossroads of the collaborative economy, cultural rights and cooperative principles, has served as a support for two years of collective work to design an innovative platform that does not ape the existing one while responding To the changes in the uses and potentials offered by the Internet. Human rights, the European Principles on the value of cultural heritage, specified in the Council of Europe's Faro Convention and cooperative principles have been adopted as reference frameworks. Two conductive sons have nurtured innovation: the choice of "common" as a structuring and differentiating element where the current platforms rely on individualism and to regain the "pleasure of travelling" from the navigation on the platform to the Travel himself. From there arose the cooperative platform the birds of passage that will be online beginning 2018. This online implementation is now made possible socially by the co-opting of the producers by the birds of passage, economically by a logic of cooperation and gradual subscription to the services and commercially by the relay of offers Directly from the beneficiaries of the initial aid. The GR2013 Guides ' office and the Okhra and Northern Hotel co-ops will be present at this meeting to illustrate what the birds of passage may propose in 2018. This platform is open to those who wish to cooperate. This public meeting is an invitation to discover it and join it.

Correspondence #11 where one throws a good shot before going to bathe…

One last match before maybe put some side of the screens…:)? For those whoForestA #Dominique Colt were not present here are some links with photos from Sunday to ForestA of June 4: © Lisa George © Dominique Poulain © Estelle Pierson it was a beautiful day on many aspects (of the world, a beautiful mix of people, owls workshops around the slopes of the project, a sense of calm and generous space, astonishment, great poetic moments, conversation…). It also validated by experience the location of the hamlet, which is confirmed to be a central and protected place. We were in the end more than 150 to contribute, to carry, to animate the content proposed that day, and the richness of the day was encouraging for everyone. A friendly moment of balance was also held on 3 July so that all "contributors" (whether individual inhabitants or associations) can tell and analyse in their own way the day, the meetings, the exchanges. Another important time was the meeting with the institutional partners, gathered for the first time on the ground on 30 June. There too the exchanges were very positive. It seems that the transversality of the project (between environment, culture, local development, social…) and its way of advancing in process (path doing) is now well understood and even appreciated! The major decisions in particular for the possibility of the hamlet and its shared tools are nevertheless subject to the finalisation of the agreement between Yes we camp and the proprietor Resiliance and to the arbitration of the European Fund (ERDF) which will only occur in December or January. So by then… Development side: in parallel with the continuation of the technical and regulatory instructions (networks, Convention…), it is hoped to be able to bring the water this autumn to start at the cost of the farm and initiate the arrival of the first inhabitants-animals ( donkeys, goats, bees, low Court). This would also mean a first home module and the permanent installation of a first inhabitant-human:). Side uses of places: we dig the grooves while remaining open and imaginative on what shapes it can take! Since June 2016 we have collectively established a number of core and thematic values for the overall project. This year most thematic trails have been experimented in one way or another and one of them, the wild Botany (exploration and invention from the plants present), has become an axis of activity structured under the name Jardiner the Hill, initiated by the Safi collective with the Espigaou Association and now carried by a whole group of people and associations. Garden the Hill will be resumed at the end of September with botanical walks, the care of wild plots and a small evolution of the weaving project. For the other "furrows", the idea would be to form small groups that could from the first experiments of this year gradually emerge programmes or actions, brought to several. • Memory and stories/sharing and site visit: to shape the memory of the places and the stories of what we live in the project to name, share, Orient, be hospitable? • Oven/bread/clay: the construction of ovens, the exploration of culinary cooking and the rediscovery of clay as collective itinerant practices in neighbourhoods? • Motorcycle and mechanics: inventing modes of encounter and shifted proposals to provoke a situation of constructive discussion with motorcyclists? • Local communication: communication as an action that participates in the networking, the sharing of expression, the appropriation? And for the sport and the body we would like to continue to invite local associations to test the places while continuing informally to associate the users (sportsmen and walkers/pedestrians are to this day the most numerous users). We also plan to propose in the autumn a workshop on governance and still experiments not planned because it goes with the meeting. Until we translate all this into various and varied invitations, enjoy the mellow summer!
